Windsor Jr Spitfires 1

After a
scoreless 1st period the Sting opened the
scoring with a powerplay goal from Tim
Kaldeway assisted by Brett Corrigan. The
Spitfires tied the game in the 2nd but Brett
Corrigan would put one passed the Windsor
goalie with only 3.7 seconds left in the
2nd with another powerplay goal unassisted.
In the 3rd Adam Craievich added an insurance
goal. Under a minute remaining in the game,
short handed and the Windsor goalie pulled,
Zach Van Eyk shoots one down the ice and the
puck came to rest in the back of the
Spitfire's net. Cole Lauzon would make some
big saves in the game.

Coming
off a big win against Windsor, the
Sting wanted to continue in their winning
ways. The 1st started off slow for the boys
and found themselves down 1 after 1 period
of play. In the 2nd Kitchener slide 2 more
by us before Zach Van Eyk sent one top self
to put the home team on the board. Assisting
on the play where Cory Burr and Sam
McCormack. For the balance of the game the
Sting took it to the Rangers, dominating the
play, moving the puck, back checking hard
and dominated on scoring chances but not
able to capitalize on our chances the Sting
fall to the Rangers 3-1. Great effort boys.
