GOLDEN BLADE TOURNAMENT
 September 14 - 15, 2007

Game #1 - The Junior Sting Atom came out strong in their first game versus North Central.
Lambton took control of the game which ended in a 4-1 win in favour of the Jr. Sting.  Goals came from Adam Craievich, Jeffrey Williams, Marco DiFederico; and Brett Corrigan.  Assisting on the goals were Cory Lucier, Callahan Doughty, Dillon Saunders, Corrigan and Craievich.   Confidence was high heading into Game 2 of the tournament.

Game #2 - The Lambton Junior Sting met Flint, MI.  Flint opened the scoring in the first period on a power play, before the Sting responded in the second period with a goal of their own.  That is how the game ended in fact, with a 1-1 tie.  Sam McCormack scored the Jr. Sting's single goal, assisted by Adam Craievich.

Game #3 - An early Saturday morning game versus Oakland started with the Sting opening the scoring.  Tim Kaldeway scored assisted by Zach Van Eyk.  Oakland responded with 3 unanswered goals - 1coming in the second and 2 quick goals in the 3rd period, and all occurring on power plays.  The Sting responded with a late period goal from Brett Corrigan, assisted by Blaine Adams, which wasn't quite enough to gain the victory despite numerous attempts and good pressure from the Sting.  The game ended 3-2 in favour of Oakland.

Game #4 - Elgin Chiefs started the scoring with 2 goals in the first period and one in the second before Dillon Saunders of Lambton Jr.Sting streaked up the ice, end to end, and buried it behind the Elgin netminder.  The goal was unassisted.  Elgin added one more in the third, to end the game in a 4-1 loss.
