Sting play a double header at the Gemini
Arena in Strathroy against the
Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs. Between game 1
and 2 the two teams joined together for
a light lunch. That is what hockey is
all about, battle hard and come together
and make new friends.
Game 1
Sting
1 vs Chiefs 6
Both
teams battled in the 1st but ended it
with no scoring. In the 2nd the Chief's
put three in before the Sting would
strike. Blain Adams would feed Zach Van
Eyk breaking wide up the ice pulling all
the "D" towards him and fed Adam
Craievich alone in front of the Chief's
net and buried it for the only Sting
goal. In the 3rd the Chief's added 3
more to end the game.
Game 2
Sting
3 vs Chiefs 6
Game
2 started great for the Sting. The Sting
took the game to the Chief's in the
first 2 periods. Leading the Sting to a
3-0 lead in the game was Tim Kaldeway
with all three goals for a natural
HAT TRICK. Kaldeway was
on fire. The 3rd period the Chief's
shortened the bench and went on to score
6 goals to take the win.
