Lambton Jr Sting Atom
home and home VS London Jr Knights
Oct 13th
Lambton traveled
down the 402 for the first game of the home
and home vs. London. Lambton started the
scoring with a pretty goal from Tim Kaldeway
assisted by Zach Van Eyk. London responded
to the Lambton attack to end the 1st in a
1-1 tie. London kept the pressure on and
potted 3 more goals. Needing to break down
the London goalie, Callahan Doughty started
ripping the bomber from the point; there was
no "doughty aboughty" it helped. At 5:35
remaining in the 3rd, Sam McCormack beat
the London goalie to bring the Jr Sting
within 2. Assists going to Tim Kaldeway and
Marco DiFederico. With only a minute left in
the game Lambton "sting" the Knights once
again, coming off the stick of Jeffrey
Williams assisted by Brett Corrigan and
Blain Adams. Cole Lauzon had a strong game
in net. Final score 4-3 Knights.
Oct 14th
Lambton played
host to the Jr. Knights. It looked like
Lambton might catch a break early in the
game, because at the very outset, London
drew a delay-of-game penalty. Lambton
failed to take advantage, however, and after
two quick goals from London, they found
themselves in a deficit position. Lambton
Jr. Sting had trouble getting anything going
and it was only thanks to Brendan Johnston
in net that the score wasn't worse. This
game was quite different from the previous
day's game and ended in a 5-0 shut-out in
favour of the Knights. Time to regroup and
get ready for the upcoming Troy Tournament.
