Lambton Jr Sting AAA Bantams Capture
Alliance Playoff Championship
The Lambton Jr Sting AAA Bantams captured
the Alliance Playoff Championship this past
weekend with a win over the Waterloo
Wolves. The Jr Sting won the series 7
points to 1 point.
In game one, Lambton opened the series in
Sarnia with a 6-3 win. Goals were scored by
Brett Thompson with two, with singles going
to Kyle Jackson, Curtis Crombeen, Ben Sokol,
and Greg Milner. Assists went to Brett
Thompson with two, Ben Sokol, Tyler Annett,
Curtis Crombeen, Brandon Butler and Chad
Rainsberry. Sean Parker picked up the win
in goal.
Game two in Waterloo, saw the Jr Sting come
away with a convincing 4-1 victory. Goals
were scored by Jesse Ferguson, Jordan Drury,
Greg Milner and Brandon Butler. Assists
went to Adam Arseneault, Jordan Drury, Kyle
Jackson, Ben Sokol and Greg Milner. Colton
James was in goal.
With the Jr Sting looking at clinching the
best of five series with a win back in
Sarnia, Waterloo had some hot goaltending
and worked hard to battle the Jr Sting to a
1-1 overtime tie. The Jr Sting marker came
from Jesse Ferguson from Adam Arseneault.
Sean Parker was solid in goal.
Back in Waterloo for game four on Easter
weekend, Lambton cruised to a 5-2 victory on
the strength of three early first period
goals to clinch the series and win the
Alliance Playoff Championship. Goals were
scored by Tyler Annett with two, Brett
Thompson with two, and a single to Kyle
Jackson. Assists went to Tyler Annett, Ben
Sokol, Brett Thompson and Greg Milner.
Colton James was the winning goalie.
