Lambton vs Sun County
Alliance Playdowns
In game three of
the Alliance Playdowns, the Lambton Jr Sting
AAA Bantams travelled down to Windsor to
face Sun County. As in game one and two,
Lambton opened the scoring on a first period
goal by Jordan Drury, assisted by Jordan
Hiesler and Curtis Crombeen. Sun County
countered with three. Lambton narrowed the
score to 3-2 on a second period goal by Chad
Rainsberry from Greg Milner and Thomas
Flamminio. Sun County replied ten seconds
later to take a 4-2 lead. Sun County
finished the scoring with two more to take
the game, 6-2, and sweep the series, 3-0.
Once again, specialty teams were the
difference, as Lambton penalties allowed Sun
County to score three more powerplay goals
along with a shorthanded marker. In short,
ten of the fourteen goals scored by Sun
County came off of specialty teams and the
reason for the series sweep.
Lambton now
moves on to the Alliance League Playoffs, it
will face either London or Chatham.
