Lambton Jr. Sting Major Bantam AAA
Win first game of season
The Lambton
Jr. Sting Major Bantam AAA Hockey team opened the
2007/2008 season off on the right foot, with a
thrilling 4-3 win over the Windsor Spitfires.
The Jr.
Sting wasted no time opening the scoring in this
one, with newbie Jordan Drury scoring from Kyle
Jackson and Curtis Crombeen just 8 seconds into the
opening period. The second goal of the game came
from Chad Rainsberry, assisting were Crombeen and
Drury. The Spitfires came back to tie the game with
two of their own before the first period ended. The
Sting was the only team to score in the second
period, coming off the hot stick of Rainsberry for
his second of the game. Collecting assists were
Branden Butler and Adam Arseneault. The Spitfires
came back and tied the game at three midway through
the third period. With only fifteen seconds left on
the clock Curtis Crombeen found the back of the net
to secure the first win of this young season.
Collecting assists on this one were Daniel Charlton
and Brett Thompson.
Next actions
for the Jr. Sting Bantam AAA team is on Friday Sept.
14th at 7:00pm were they are entered into the 15th
Annual Golden Blade Tournament. |
