Dec. 30th.
Lambton 9- Windsor 5

In the final game of the 2007 year for the Lambton Midget Jr. Sting they faced off against the Windsor Jr. Spitfires.  The two teams found themselves tied for 2nd in the west division and both teams needed the 2 points.

The Jr. Sting scored first on a Matt Morden powerplay goal.  The Spitfires quickly evened the score before Darby MacKinnon added his first of the game.  Windsor would add one more before the end of the first period to go into the break at 2-2.

No one in the building could have predicted the action in the second as Windsor would come out a score 2 quick goals before Lambton would rally with 4 in the second half of the period.  Zack MacQueen started the fun for the Sting before Jesse Drydak and Eric Belanger gave Lambton the lead and Drydak would add another to cap the period with a score of Lambton 6- Windsor 4.

The 3rd was a little tamer but the Jr. Sting outscored Windsor 3-1 in the period with goals coming from Zack MacQueen and two from Darby MacKinnon to complete his hatrick.  The line of MacQueen, Drydak and MacKinnon accounted for 7 goals and 8 assists for the game.

The final score was Lambton 9- Windsor 5 in a barnburner.  Jordan Gladwish played solid in the win. Assists on the game went to Drydak (2), MacKinnon, MacQueen (5), Nick Lajoie, Andrew Sokol (2), Nick Kozmin, Aaron Scheiman (2), Rory Keane, Colten Jamieson, Ryan Hunt and Travis Mullen.

The game marked the highest scoring game of the season for the Sting and featured a point from every player on the team.  The Jr. Sting now head off to Hamilton for a showcase weekend and look forward to the return of team captain Jordan Hurst after a 2 month absence due to two separated shoulders.

Lambton now sits in 2nd in the West Division and hold home ice for the first round of playoffs.
