Lambton Midget Jr. Sting
AAA played 2 games on the weekend at home against
Western Division opponents and came out with a 1-1 record.

Thursday night the Sting
hooked up with the Elgin- Middlesex Cheifs and
overcame a slow start and earned 2 points with a 6-3
win. Zack MacQueen led the way with 2 goals. Andrew
Sokol, Nick Kozmin and Nick Lajoie added singles and
Darby MacKinnon finished the scoring for the Sting
with a penalty shot marker.
Earning assists were Ryan Hunt, Jesse Drydak,
Kozmin and Lajoie.
Lambton was 2-13 on the powerplay and added a
penalty shot goal. Elgin was 0-7 |

Windsor 6- Lambton 4

The Sting then
looked to carry the momentum of a strong second half
of the Elgin game into a pivotal showdown with
division rival Windsor. The Sting gave up the early
lead and trailed 2-1 at the first intermission with
Matt Morden scoring from the point on a slapshot.
Ryan Hunt and Jesse Drydak scored in the second to
give the Jr Sting the lead going into the 3rd
period. |

Andrew Sokol scored
for the Sting to put them up 4-2 but the Windsor Jr.
Spitfires scored 3 goals plus and empty netter to
leave with a 6-4 win. Assists to Sokol, Rory Keane,
Nick Kozmin, Zack MacQueen and Nick Lajoie. Lambton
was 1-7 on the powerplay and Windsor was 0-2.
