The Jr Sting made the
‘enjoyable’ trip over
the Bluewater Bridge on Saturday to face a strong
Mount Clemens Wolves squad.
In a game that saw
numerous trips to the penalty boxes neither team was
able to capitalize on their chances early on. The
Wolves found the scoresheet early in the second
period and scored another to jump out to a 2-0 lead
before the Sting scored two of their own late in the
second to tie up the game. Again in the third period
Mount Clemens would get out to two goal lead, the
Sting would battle to trim it to one, but this time
penalty trouble and some
missed chances would halt any chance of a late Sting
comeback. Final
score was 4-3 for the Wolves over the Sting.
Scoring for the Lambton
Sting were Colin Leyton, Isaac McLean and Jack
Johnson, all with singles. Picking up assists were
McLean, Dawson Vautour and Brock Perry. Tyler
Armitage was solid between pipes to keep the game
close. |
