Minor Atom AAA Sting hosted Hamilton Reps
in League play

Hamilton was in town on Sunday to battle the Jr
Sting at the SSEC. In a fast paced, but very
defensive game shots on goal were tough to come by.
Neither team was able to mount any offence until
late in the second period when Isaac McLean of the
Sting managed to score off a Hamilton defenders
stick and into his own net. Early in the third
period the Sting would build a two goal lead on a
nice backhand shot by Brock Perry to the top corner
of the Hamilton net. Both Lambton goals were
assisted by Franco Sproveiro. The Sting would
maintain their lead until late in the third period
when some Hamilton pressure would result in
back-to-back goals in under a two minute span to tie
the game up at 2-2. Despite some good chances by
both teams late, neither could beat the opposition
goaltender and the game would finish in a tie.
The minor atoms now
have a week of practice to prepare for a Sunday
match up against the London Jr Knights at the SSEC.
