The Minor Atom Sting traveled to London on Sunday afternoon to begin their regular season with a game against a tough squad from Elgin-Middlesex.  Getting to test their skills at the ‘unique’ London Ice Park, the Sting would find their hosts to be ready for whatever they could throw at them. The Sting were held to just three goals in the game coming off the sticks of Jack Johnston in the first period and Jack Dunn and Alec Dekoning in the third. Assists in the game went to Bert Thorpe, Colin Leighton and Patrick Wright all with singles. The hometown Chiefs managed to register 8 goals during the game for a resounding 8-3 victory.

The Sting due battle next on Friday, September 14 when they begin play in the Golden Blade AAA tournament held in Sarnia.
