Game 3
Lambton Jr.
Sting vs. Kitchener Jr. Rangers
Monday
night semi-final play resumed after two
games were cancelled due to weekend
weather. Kitchener made the trip to
Sarnia Monday night, only to end their
season early. The Jr. Rangers were able
to get on the score board in the first
period, but Andrew Ganter stopped them
short and wouldn't allow another goal.
Lambton scored late in the second period
to tie the game. Scoring on the power
play was Matt Rupert assisted by Clint
Rose. Still tied in the third period,
with Kitchener on the power play, Matt
Rupert pulled out all the stops and
scored short handed at the 1:46 mark.
Michael Grey sealed the deal with an
empty net goal to end the game 3 - 1 and
win the series in three games straight.
Lambton now moves on to play the final
series against London Jr. Knights. Game
time begins Saturday, March 15th at the
SSEC at 1:30 pm.
