Jr. Sting &
Jr. Rangers
Skate to a 4
- 4 Tie
December 22,
2007
The Jr.
Sting
visited
Kitchener
Saturday for
their first
regular
season
meeting with
the Jr.
Rangers.
They met
once in
tournament
play
resulting in
a 1 - 1 tie.
Fans
were treated
to hard
hitting
end-to-end
action.
Kitchener
took a 3 - 2
lead into
the third
period on 3
power play
goals. The
game ended
in a 4 - 4
tie. Derek
Nap added to
the
excitement,
hitting the
crossbar on
a breakaway
with 30
seconds
remaining in
the game.
Blake
Thomas led
the offense
with 2
goals. Ben
Arseneault
had 1 goal
and 1
assist. Jeff
Paulley
scored 1.
Duncan
MacSorley,
Brent Sauve,
Jake Janicek
and Kalvin
Thornton
each had an
assist.
The tie
breaks a
three game
losing slide
for the
short
benched Jr.
Sting. They
only had 12
skaters in
this one.
Reid Rankin
was solid
between the
pipes. The
Jr. Sting
are on the
road again
tomorrow,
traveling to
Windsor to
play the Sun
County
Panthers.
Game time
3:00 at the
Windsor Ice
Park.
