Lambton Jr. Sting knocked off the Windsor Spitfires
after two exciting games!
Lambton took control of the consolation series in
game 5 as the teams had two previous ties.
Bryn
Williams started the assault with a goal mid-way
through the first from a lead pass from defenseman
Ryan Woods. With the Sting leading through two
periods the feeling of victory intensified.
In
the third period the Sting increased the lead as
Mitchell Bigras finds Kraig Durco crashing the net
to bring the score to 2-1. In the closing minute of
the game Windsor yanked their goaltender to find
Tyczynski hammering in the last nail to solidify the
win with an empty netter.
In
the final game of the Windsor series, Bryn Williams
again found the net as Hunter Tyczynski hustled the
puck out of the neutral zone. With the Sting in the
driver’s seat, Windsor then finds the equalizer to
bring the period to one apiece. Hunter Bryce then
finds the net from Mitchell Bigras to take control
once again. Lambton then takes a two goal commanding
lead as Kraig Durco buries the puck from Hunter
Bryce.
Lambton found that the shots on net accumulated plus
20 in each victory which in turn increase their goal
for average.
Lambton starts the Consolation Final series against
the Chatham Kent Cyclones this Saturday at 12:15pm
