Lambton versus Elgin Chiefs 5 – 1 Loss
Elgin started the scoring at 7:28 in the first
period. To find the equalizer Mitchell Bigras back
handed a big 3 on 1 break on the Elgin tender. Elgin
went up by one more at 4:36 to out work a sprawled
out Justin Fazio. Elgin then found the net one more
time in the first to conclude the period 3-1. In the
second period the Sting gave another goal as an
ex-Lambton player rushed end to end during a PP
passing to the trailing defender to move the game to
4-4 Elgin. Lambton showed signs in the third of
rebounding with some great 4-4 hockey with both
teams racking up penalty minutes. The final goal of
the game came when the Lambton goaltender was
leveled from behind and the puck dribbled over the
crease. Final 5-1 Elgin.
Lambton versus Sun County 3 – 3 Tie
Sun County started the game with all guns flying
starting the scoring 1-0 at 6:14 of the first
period. In the second period Mayo received a sweet
pass from defenseman Ryan Woods to get Lambton on
the board. The Panthers then caught another burst of
power and worked a goal to bring the score to 2-1.
McGuire then broke through on a face off hammering
in an unassisted goal (top shelf). Late in the
second period the Stings Conner Black swung wide
with a three on one break with Bryn Williams and
Mayo attacking strong. Williams connected through
the five hole to bring the Sting up 3-1. Fazio stood
on his head with the shot clock at 22-7. Sun
County’s big pointman Elkbald was shut down numerous
times by the Sting defence. The third had some great
offensive back checking and solid defence but found
a couple of checking from behind costing them
another goal to conclude with a 3-3 draw. Sting play

Lambton versus Cambridge 2 – 0 Loss
Lambton started the game with renewed confidence
from the previous weeks tie but failed to
Connect with the back of the net. The sluggish
performance allowed the Cambridge Hawks to cruise to
a 2-0 victory. Sting ice up against Chatham Cyclone
at the SSEC on Sunday Oct. 28th
