Mooretown Novice Storm vs Sarnia Jr. Sting
The Storm played host to the Jr.
Sting Monday night in Mooretown for an exhibition game.
It was easy to tell this was the
first game for each team as many mistakes were made by each
team.
Both teams showed a lot of
promise and with practice it should be a very rewarding
season for both clubs.
As for the game it was a high
scoring affair. The Storm came out on top with a 10-4
decision but the game was closer than the score indicated.
There were many chances on both sides.
Jared Pageau led the Storm with
4 goals.
Brennan Mckegan and Elijah
Contreras each added a pair of goals.
Garrett Miller and Daniel
Wellington scored single goals.
Mckegan, Wellington, Cade
Robbins, Jacinda Buglar and Hayden MacDonald all added
assists.
Ben Dupont and Emma McCormick
shared goaltending duties with each playing well.
Scoring for Sarnia were Cameron
Adam with 2 goals and singles to Cameron Rannie and Jameson
Hart.
Chipping in with assists were
Ryan Brown with 3 and Max Steeves with 2.
Next action for the Storm is
Sunday afternoon in Mooretown vs Harrow.
