opened

playoffs
at home
against
Petrolia
Tuesday
evening
skated
to a
hard
fought
5-4
victory.
Petrolia
started
the game
scoring
on their
first
two
shots to
take a
2-0 lead
less
than 2
minutes
into the
game.
They
upped
their
lead to
3-0 when
a hard backchecking
Storm
player
accidentally
put the
puck
into
their
own net.
The
Storm
finally
got on
the
board
when
Nolan
Farr
scored
from
Josh
Barraclough.
The 1st
period
ended
with
Petrolia
leading
3-1.
Mooretown
continued
to
battle
when
Nolan
Farr
notched
his
second
of the
game
from
Garrett
Miller.
The
Storm
came all
the way
back
less
than 2
minutes
later
when
Jared
Pageau
buried a
wrist
shot
from
Elijah
Contreras
and
Bailey
Smalls
to even
it at
3-3.
Garrett
Miller
gave the
Storm
their
first
lead
when he
scored
on a
wrist
shot
going
end to
end.
Petrolia
tied it
up 4-4
when
they
scored
with
just
under
eight
minutes
left in
the game
on an
innocent
looking
shot
from the
wing.
The
Storm
kept
battling
and
scored
the game
winner
as Nolan
Farr
scored
his 3rd
of the
game as
he
banged
in a
feed
from
behind
the net
from
Jared
Pageau.
The game
was
exciting
from
start to
finish.
Emma
McCormick
got the
win in
net and
Nolan
Farr
received
both
work
gloves
for his
3 goal
effort
and
overall
excellent
play.
