Wyoming Legion vs Mooretown White

On March 17, 2008 it was not just another regular season game between Mooretown White and Petrolia Pee-Wee's it proved to be a prelude to the Championship Game coming up in Mooretown March 29, 2008 @ 1:30pm.
 
Petrolia pulled out a victory after finding out that they'd been in first place for some time now, their coach thought they were a few points out of first. The first period was slow going and neither team looked organized or hungry enough to take the lead.
 
The second period was different Petrolia came out flying and went up 2-0 after a couple quick goals from Brad Jacklin and Jacob Scarrow.
 
In the third period Petrolia started out with the `Power Play `but couldn't capitalize and that's when Mooretown mounted their comeback, before they knew it it was tied 2-2 with 8 minutes left in the third. Mooretown's goalie went down with what appears to be a `Groin Pull `but remained in the game to fight it out. Petrolia scored with 3 minutes remaining on the clock. Dallas Smith weaved thru their entire line up and had the goalie beat but was robbed by the post. On the next shift Dallas got revenge as he deked thru everyone again and put the game winner in the net. It was an incredible game and for sure there will be some kids coming into the final game wearing `War Wounds`.
