Mooretown Storm -
5 Petrolia Oilers- 4
If Tuesday night was
any indication of what lies ahead for
these two teams, in OMHA BB West
Playdowns, then the fans of both squads
better buckle up for one exciting
rollercoaster ride.
The game started well
for the visiting Oilers as they ended
the first period with a 3-1 lead on a
pair of goals by Jack Hackett and a
single marker by Noah Myers. The tide
started to turn in favour of the Storm
in the second when they not only
answered our goals but took the lead
heading into the third period 4-3.
Midway thru the 3rd, Petrolia would tie
the game up on a goal by Noah Myers,
Noah streaked down the right side and
fired a laser between the Mooretown
goalie pads. The tie did not last long,
with 1:05 left to play in the 3rd a
scramble occurred in front of the
Petrolia net and Mooretown slipped one
past the Oilers for the winning goal.
