Petrolia Squires end season in a Friendly game!
 
In the final game of the season the Petrolia Squires went out in a scoring frenzy
as they lost a close one to Tillsonburg with a final score of 11 - 10. Both sides were
tied at 10 each before Tillsonburg scored the final goal with 6 seconds remaining
to take the win.   It was a gentlemen's game as no penalties were called.

The Squires ended their season with 6 wins, 24 losses that included 2 overtime losses
 and ended at the bottom in the standings race putting an end to the 2007-2008 year.

Despite ending their season on the bottom there was one Squire player who earned top recognition.
Shooting sensation Jason Polera won the 2007/2008 Major League Hockey Sr. AAA
scoring title for the second straight season. Polera played in 26 games and had a total
of 31 goals and 25 assists.

Despite hanging up their skates early the team will regroup as they look forward
to next year.  For the rest of the league it will be #1 Dundas taking on #4 Tillsonburg
 and #2 Brantford will be going up against Windsor in the playoffs.
