Petrolia gave up 2 on

After the 8 - 4 lost on
Friday the Squires travelled to Windsor for their second
game in the home/home series with Windsor. In the
second game the Saints dominated for the second time and
came out on top with a final score of 6 - 2.
The Squires took the lead in
the first period on a goal scored by Mike Perry from
Steve Barraclogh and Chris Houle. The period ended
with the Squires leading 1 - 0. In the second
Windsor tied things up and both sides remained even
after 2 periods of play. In the third Windsor
scored the first 2 goals in the period the second
shorthanded before Scott Hull scored for the Squires on
the powerplay assisted by Chris Edgar and Jeremiah
Goodacre. Windsor came back and added 2 more to the
score board before finishing the game off with another
shorthanded goal into the empty net.
Chris Houle went the distance for the Squires making a
total of 35 saves. For the Saints Bill Ruggiero
was in net for the win with a total of 31 saves.
Petrolia took 12 minutes on 6 infractions in penalties
and went 1 for 11 on powerplay opportunities.
Windsor took 24 minutes on 12 infractions and went 0 for
5 on the powerplay.
The Squires are back in
action on Friday Jan 18 when they travel to Dundas for a
7:00 pm game then back home for a Tuesday night game
(Jan 22) against Tillsonburg. Home game starts at
8:00 pm.
