Petrolia losing streak ends!

After a 7 game losing streak the Squires the put one in the win side as they defeated the Dundas Real McCoy's with a final score of 6 - 1.
 

In the first period the Squires scored 3 goals to take the 3 - 0 lead heading into the second.  Craig Laframbroise from Ryan Chapman scored the first with Scott Hull assisted by Joel Myers netting the second and Jason Polera scored the third goal shorthanded and unassisted.

In the second action continued back and forth and the Squires found themselves shorthanded giving Dundas their only goal of the game.

Jason Polera opened the scoring at 1:07 into the third period assisted by Ryan Champman and Joe Sauve.  Danny Larocque added goal #5 of the night from Chris McPhail, and the final goal was scored by Breyden Belan assisted by Mike Perry.

 

Petrolia outshot Dundas 37 to 33.  Petrolia wen 0 for 6 in powerplay opportunities - Dundas went 1 - 8.
Chris Houle was the winning netminder for the Squires and Jason Radbourne was in the losing end for the Real McCoy's.

 

Next up - the Squires take on the league leading Brantford Blast on Sunday Dec 2.  Puck drops at 7:00 pm.
