Penalties hurt
Petrolia Squires at Windsor Saints

In a week night game the Squires traveled to
Windsor with just 13 players on the bench
and took a loss with a final score of 3 - 2.
The Saints went up 2 - 0 after the first 2
periods after scoring both goals on power
plays. Ryan Caicco scored both goals for
Windsor.
Just :31 seconds into the third period the
Squires found the opening with Joel Myers
putting the first goal up on the board.
Jason Polera got the assist. Erik
Stone of Windsor answered back at 4:10 to
cancel out the goal then Jason Polera
narrowed the gap once again on a powerplay
goal at 6:02. Assisting on the power
play were Jeremiah Goodacre and Chris
McPhail. Action continued but the
Saints held off the attack to take the 3 - 2
win over the Squires.
Chris Houle was in net for the Squires
making a total of 27 saves.
Bill Ruggiero was in
Windsor's end making a total of 25 saves.
Petrolia went 1 for 2 in powerplay
opportunities, the Saints went 2 for 9.
The Squires have a pair of home games this
coming weekend with the first on Friday Nov
2 when Windsor makes a return visit, game
time is at 8:00 pm. Then on Sunday Nov
4, Dundas comes for a visit with the
game starting at 7:30. |
