Point Edward Novice Team Continues Winning Ways

The Point Edward Minor Novice hosted Parkhill in Lambton-Middlesex league action and won 7-0. 

The Blackhawks started the game very aggressively and kept the puck in the Parkhill zone but the Parkhill goalie came up big and kept the Hawks from scoring. The second half of the period saw Parkhill play stronger and action was end to end with both teams trying to get a goal. Even though the Point had two power play opportunities the period ended 0-0. 

The second period saw the Point break the Parkhill wall when Joe Correia scored when he banged in a rebound with assists going to Jett Terpstra and Mackenzie Caley.  The Point continued with their strong play but again the Parkhill goalie made some good saves to keep them in the game. Joshua Vale finally broke the drought late in the period to make it 2-0 and Lucas Ross got into the scoring action 30 seconds later to end the period at 3-0.

 The third period saw the Hawks take control of the game. Early in the period Christopher Dunn scored off a lose puck in a scramble in front of the Parkhill net to extend the Points lead to 4-0 with assists going to Joseph Correia and Kaeden Canie.  The Point defense played an excellent game by forcing Parkhill away from the Hawks net and Bailey Reinders made keys saves when needed to keep Parkhill off the board. The Point never let up and the game ended 7-0.

 Bailey Reinders had an excellent game in net and got the win and shut-out for the Point.

 The Blackhawks next game is Thursday December 20^th @ 7pm versus East Lambton in the Point.
