Sarnia's modest four game winning streak came to an end this evening before a crowd of 457 in attendance.  Picking up the win for St. Marys was Kyle Brodhagen and taking the loss for the Blast was John Faulkner who saw plenty of rubber in this game.
 
All the scoring took place in the first period and it was opened at the 9:58 mark on a power play marker by St. Marys while Sarnia's Owen Rogers was off serving a minor for tripping.  Scoring it was Brenton Kemp with assists to Michael Noyes and Michael Gillen. A boarding penalty at 12:09 sent Toby Brune of the Blast to the sin bin and while there he received some company when offsetting penalties were called at the 13:39 mark -- Mezenburg (high sticking) for St. Marys and Clark MacPherson (slashing) for the Blast.  With the two of them looking on from the sin bin, the Lincs took a two goal lead on a goal by Brett Petrie from Jeff Silver and Jeff  Pickel.   A tripping minor at 16:52 put Silver of the Lincs off the ice for a break and Sarnia scored their only goal of the game 52 seconds later.  Lighting the lamp for the home team was Toby Brune and picking up assists were Tyler Peters and Matt Abercrombie.

The shots on goal for the game for St. Marys -- 16/20/11 for a total of 47. The shots on goal for the game for Sarnia -- 7/4/4/ for a total of 15.
 
St. Marys was 1 for 4 on the power play this game and Sarnia was 1 for 5 with the man advantage this period.
 
The Blast close out 2007 with an away game in Chatham on Sunday the 23rd with a 7:00 p.m. puck drop.
