No Late Game Heroics for Blast Against the Chiefs
Final Score:  Tecumseh - 4   Sarnia - 1

Picking up the win for the Chiefs was Jon Hunter and taking the loss for the Blast was John Faulkner.
 
1st Period:  Both teams took a few penalties with four offsetting roughing minors handed out at the 10:25 mark.  The lone goal was a power play goal that came with Sarnia's Clark MacPherson in the sin bin for holding.  Scoring the goal 57 seconds into the penalty was Ouellette from Viselli and Paltridge.  Shots on goal:  Tecumseh - 16   Sarnia - 6. Tecumseh was the only team that played with the man advantage and they went 1 for 2 this period.

2nd Period:  The Chiefs made it 2-0 at 6:23 with a goal off the stick of Reaume with assists to Hogan and Broderick.  At the 7:06 mark, six different players each received roughing minors filling the penalty box area with Turner of the Chiefs picking up an additional two minutes for boarding, but the Blast were unable to convert.  Tecumseh's Reaume gave his team a three goal lead to take to the dressing room when he scored at the 9:22 mark. Assists went to Broderick and Beck.  Later in the period, Sarnia enjoyed a two man advantage for 25 seconds but again, were unable to put anything behind Hunter.  Shots on goal:  Tecumseh - 21/37   Sarnia - 8/14.  Tecumseh was 0 for 1 with the man advantage this period and Sarnia was 0 for 4 on the power play.

3rd Period:  With Sarnia's Kyle Gallinger off serving a minor for hooking at 6:28, Tecumseh scored their second power play goal this game with a marker off the stick of Sharpe. Picking up assists were Carter and Reaume.  Hunter's bid for a shutout disappeared when Sarnia's Josh Cornelissen lit the lamp for the visitors with 1:29 remaining.  Picking up the lone assist was Matt Abercrombie.  Shots on goal:  Tecumseh - 14/51   Sarnia - 7/21. Tecumseh was 1 for 2 with the man advantage this period and were 2 for 5 in the game. Sarnia was 0f or 2 on the power play this period and were 0 for 6 in the game.
 
Sarnia continues its road games with a trip to St. Marys on Friday the 25th and the puck drops at 7:45.  On Sunday the 27th they travel to London for an afternoon game, taking on the Nats for a 2:30 game.
The Blast's next home game is Thursday the 31st when the Nats trek down the 402 for a 7:30 start.
