tripping minor at 8:41 to Kyle
Gallinger, before Chatham took
the next four. With less than

2nd Period:
Sarnia began a mini trek to the

the puck to Scott Stafford who
missed a glorious chance at
scoring a short handed marker.

Thorton goal from Brett
Hope and Jesse Carter.
Sarnia responded with a goal
just 39 seconds later off the
stick of Alex Yardy, his
first of the season. Picking up
an assist was Marco Ruggeri.
Yardy let rip a shot from just
inside the blue line on the
right side. It was a rising shot
that whistled over the right
shoulder of Ostropelec and it
would prove to be the game
winner. With 2:19 remaining in
the period, Marco Ruggeri
gave the Blast a two goal lead
to take into the dressing room.
Assisting on the goal were
Tyler Lewis and Tyler
Cicchini. Sarnia would
begin the third period a man
short as Jon Conrad took a minor
for delay of game at the 18:25

then found themselves with the
man advantage when Bobby Knight
of Chatham took a cross checking
minor at the 7:26 mark. The
Blast scored a goal with 16
seconds remaining on the power
play. Getting the marker was
Toby Brune (his 1st of the
season) with helpers to Matt
Pereira and Tyler Lewis.
A couple of roughing minors were
handed out with about five
