Getting the win for the Lincolns
was Brodhagen and taking
the loss in net for the Blast
was John Faulkner.
In
the first period there was
plenty of end to end action, but
the only goal scored was with 45
seconds remaining off the stick
of Silver from
Mezenburg. Shots on net:
St. Marys - 7 Sarnia - 6.
Both teams were 0 for 2 with the
man advantage.
In
the second period, just a single
goal scored again. This was a
power play goal scored while the
Lincs enjoyed a five on three
power play with 80 seconds
available. Off serving minors
were Marco Ruggeri at 7:31 for
slashing and Jon Conrad at 8:11
for tripping. The Lincs used
all but 14 seconds of the two
man advantage before
capitalizing with a marker by
Kemp with assists to
Petrie and Ryan.
Once the goal was scored and the
Blast were just a man short,
Toby Brune and Matt Abercrombie
had possession of the puck in
St. Marys end and were stoned
when attempting to score a
