Sarnia
Jr. Sting Bantam A/AA team played
Kitchener Jr. Rangers on Saturday
October 13 at the Sarnia Arena and
came away with a tie of 1-1 with
Kitchener scoring late in the 3rd
period. Lone goal scorer for Sarnia
was Petro Restivo assisted by Jordan
McBeath. In net was Vince Amedeo.
On
Sunday October 14 Sarnia saw action
in Cambridge against the Hawks.
Sarnia had the win 3-1. First
period goal by Joel Acton with 8.2
seconds left on the clock. Assists
went to Dan Lumley and Christopher
Taylor. Early in the second period
Sarnia’s Christian Savo scored
assisted by Aaron Turner. The
Hawks scored their lone goal with
2.39 seconds left in the second
period. Sarnia’s Michael Smithies
assisted by Dan Lumley put in the
third period goal for Sarnia.
Jordan Dugas was between the pipes.
Tuesday
October 16, 2007 saw Sarnia travel
to London to play London Gold. Game
was fast paced with great action in
both ends. Goal scoring was back
and forth for both teams and ended
in 4-4 tied game. Sarnia goal
scorers were Pietro Restivo from
Jordan McBeath, Joel Acton from
Jace Felton, Pietro Restivo from
Jordan McBeath and Joel Acton from
Dan Lumley. Vince Amedeo was in
Friday evening October 19 Sarnia
traveled to St. Thomas and came away
with a 4-0 win. First period saw
two goals by George Stamm assisted
by Cody Hardman. Second period goal
was scored by Petro Restivo assisted
by Chris Taylor. Final goal came
with less than 2 minutes on the
clock by Christian Savo
unassisted. Jordan Dugas was in net
for the shut out.
Saturday
October 20 saw action at Sarnia
Arena against Stratford Warriors.
Sarnia had the win 5-3. First goal
scored by Aaron Turner unassisted.
Second goal by Chris Taylor with
assist going to Dan Lumley. Pietro
Restivo scored next with assists
from Dan Lumley and Michael
Smithies. Brandan Burr scored the
fourth goal unassisted. Final goal
for Sarnia was scored by Jordan
McBeath assisted by Sam Jasmin. In
net was Vince Amodeo.
Sarnia
travelled to London on Sunday
October 21 to play London Knights
Green and suffered their first loss
of the season. Game saw action in
both ends. Sarnia’s Dan Lumley was
able to get one goal on the London
goalie at the end of the first
period. Jordan Dugas was in net.
Next
action for Sarnia is Friday October
