The play was fast and
exciting all the way through, just like
their first match, only this time the Jr.
Sting seemed to control most of the game and
out shot the Bulldogs 18 to 11. The
Bulldogs lone goal came at the 2 minute mark
in the first period when the Jr. Sting found
themselves out of position and goaltender
Nicholas Coady made the first save but, with
little help from his teammates, was unable
to cover the puck which was shoved in the
net on a second effort from the Bulldogs’
offense.
The Jr. Sting never gave up and threatened
the Bulldogs lead many times, especially in
the third period, which invoked many cheers
from both the Jr. Sting and Bulldog fans in
attendance. In spite of the Jr. Sting’s
offensive pursuit, they came up against a
hot Bulldogs goalie and couldn’t register a
goal for the game.
It was a very well played
game and, once again, the Sarnia Jr. Sting
Minor Atom A/AA coaching staff is very proud
of the effort provided by all of the Sting
players during the game.
