The Sarnia Major Atom MD’s. won one over the London Nationals, after the two pervious ties with the Nationals the Jr. Sting pull off a commanding win, with a 5-2 win. The Sting started out slow with an early turn over in the first period resulting in a breakaway goal. The Sting shook off the goal and came right back with two quick goals scored by Jordan Pavey assisted by Rory Jones and Colin Osler the second goal was scored by Colin Osler and assisted by Austin Cooper .The third goal was scored by Rory Jones and assisted by Jordan Pavey and Trevor Forsten. The fourth Goal the only scoring of the second period was by Chris Mulholland and was assisted by Cole Dodge. The fifth goal was scored by Michael Pearce his first of the season and his first goal after being moved up into left wing from defense. Michael’s goal was assisted by Richard McIntosh and Jacob Washington. The defensive squad had another amazing night holding the Nationals to 15 shots. The Nationals pressed hard late in the third period which did result in a late goal for them, but Noah Melanson held his own and made some really nice saves resulting in the win.
