Noah
Melanson earns his fourth shut out of the season in regular
game league play against the Oakridge Raiders in a 4-0 win.
The first goal of the night came off an
unassisted backhand shot from Rory Jones, that goal would
stand until late in the third period until Jordan Pavey
found the back of the net and then 20 seconds latter found
it again, giving the Sting the lead that they wanted.
Jordan's first goal was unassisted and Jordan's second goal
was assisted by Keith Manery. The fourth goal was an empty
netter scored by Colin Osler and assisted by Jakob
Washington and Owen Gibson.
The Jr.Sting came out hungry looking
for a win to cement their play off hopes, this win now
guarantees the Sting a spot in the play offs.
The Team showed great hustle and solid
hitting from the likes of Owen Gibson and Trevor Foresten
also out there hustling was Austin Cooper Tyler Gillis and
Jakob Washington and Austin has the penalty minutes to prove
it.
A full throttle attack from the Entire
Defensive core.
Also on the attack was our Captain
Chris Mulholland, Jordan Pavey and Keith Manery. Keep those
bodies flying Keith! Storm Astolfi showed some hustle
tonight as well. Mixing it up also was Michael Pearce who
helped out on the offensive side of things tonight as Cole
Dodge sat this one out.
The team played well tonight as did
Noah Melanson who kept the team in the game early on when
Oakridge was pressing. He made some really nice saves and
had great puck recovery, not allowing any rebounds.
