The Sarnia Major Atom's pulled off a third period upset, over visiting Oakridge Aero's. Heading into the third period down one to nothing, Jordan Pavey scores a power play goal with only two minutes left in the game to give the Jr. Sting a much needed win. The visiting Aero's gave the Jr.Sting a run for their money as they had a very strong game.

There was no scoring in the first period, as the Sting had many opportunities, but they could not put the puck past the Oakridge goaltender.

Oakridge managed to score one half way thru the second period in a mad scramble in front of the net.

With five minutes left in the third period Richard MacIntosh scored to tie up the game and he was assisted by Michael Pearce and with only two minutes left in the game and with the Sting on the power play Jordan Pavey scores with a beautiful shot from the hash marks and gives the Sting the win. Rory Jones assisted Jordan's goal.
