The Major Atoms outplayed the Woodstock Navy Vets in game league action on Saturday in Woodstock by a score of 6 to 1 with the shut out being lost late in the third period by an accidentally tip in by one of the Stings own players. The Stings defensive play was strong in this game as they kept Woodstock off the score board. The Jr. Sting out shot the Navy Vets by a range 25 to 5.

The first goal came late in the first period by Rory Jones assisted by Keith Manery and Jordan Pavey. The second goal was also scored by Rory Jones and assisted by Keith Manery and Jack Chapman. The third goal came from Richard McIntosh and assisted by Cole Dodge. The fourth goal was also scored by Richard McIntosh and assisted by Chris Mulholland. The fifth goal was scored by Chris Mulholland and assisted by Richard McIntosh. The sixth goal was scored by Storm Astolfi and assisted by Colin Osler. Mat Szabo although he did not see a lot of action was steady in net when needed.
