In
the first period both
sides went end to end
with neither team
scoring to head into the
second with a clean
slate. In the
second period Sarnia
scored first to take the
1 - 0 lead.
Adam Marshall scored the
first goal assisted by
Sam Murray and Sean
Smith. The period
ended with Sarnia up by
the single point.
In the third period Adam
Cooper put the Jr Sting
up by 2 when he scored
assisted by Chris Moore.
The North London fought
back and scored with
2:16
left in the game and came back in the final minute and scored to
send the game into
overtime.
In the first over time
period with 4 on 4
neither side found the
back of the net sending
the game into a second
overtime period
with 3 on 3 on the ice.
That period didn't
decide a winner and up
next was a shootout
and it was Jamie
Schieman who scored the
winning goal. Mike
Ward was outstanding
in net for Sarnia making
great saves in the win!
Special Thanks goes out
to Marty Gaulin for
stepping in and taking
the job of coaching -
without him the team
would have folded.
Special mention to those
team mates who sat off
due to injuries but gave
it their all throughout
the season were Ricky
Seed, Tyler Tobin and
Kyle Solness.
Thanks to AP players
Darryl Plug, Andrew
Burt, Steven Tunstill,
Patrick Bradley and Adam
Cooper
who stepped up when
needed this season.
Ending their Minor
Hockey Careers in fine
fashion are:
Goalies Mitch Core and Mike Ward - Forwards Chris Moore, Adam
Marshall, JD Gaulin,
Kyle Solness, Mike
Deguire and Sean Smith
and Defense players
Jamie Schieman, Cam
Waters and Trevor Coady.
Sarniasports.com
would like to send
thanks to Julie Fisher
for sending in the game
highlights
over the years and
providing the team
action photos.
This too will be her
final game. (well maybe)
Congratulations to
all!
