In an exciting game the Sarnia Midget MD team shut out the
league leading team in Woodstock.  The Sting went up 1 - 0 in the first period on a goal
scored by Adam Marshall assisted by Patrick Bradley and Tyler Tobin.

In the second both sides went scoreless as they headed into the third with
the Sting leading.  At 7:29 in the third Adam Marshall scored his second goal
of the game assisted by Kyle Solness and Jamie Schieman to take the 2 - 0 lead.
With 2 minutes remaining Woodstock pulled their goalie in the attempt to even things
up but the Sting machine held them off. With :22 seconds left in the game Andrew Burt
found the opening into the empty net to squash any chance of Woodstock catching up.
Assisting on the empty netter were Cam Waters and Patrick Bradley.


Standing tall and defying scoring chances for Woodstock was
net minder Mitch Core earning the well deserve shutout for the Sting.
