Warriors Beat Jr Sting Minor Atoms 4-0
In a rescheduled game played on Jan
26th, the Jr. Sting minor MD Atoms fell to the Stratford
Warriors 4-0 in Forest City hockey league action.
The Jr.Sting really came to play and
started the first period digging hard and hitting the Warriors
to get them off balance. Early action was end-to end and both
team’s goalies made some excellent saves to keep the game close.
The first ended with neither team scoring.
The second period started to see the
advantage swing for the Warriors. The Warriors got the first
goal early to take a 1-0 lead. With the Sting slowly showing
their frustration in not being able to score, Stratford was able
to make it 2-0 before the period ended.
The third period saw the Sting work
hard but they just couldn’t get any breaks. Lucas Cicchelli made
some awesome saves to try to keep the game close but momentum
was on the Warriors side. Before the period ended Stratford was
able to get two more goals to end the game 4-0 in their favour. |
