Cameron Orrange Gets Hat Trick in 4-3 Loss
in Jr.Sting Minor MD-Atom Hockey Action

In Forest City Hockey league action, the Jr. Sting Minor MD-Atoms lost 4-3 to West London that saw Cameron Orrange get three goals.

Both teams started the game very aggressively with play going end to end. Two minutes into the period West London was able to capitalize on an opportunity to make the game 1-0. The Sting continued to play hard and the period ended 1-0.

The second period had West London get an early goal on a Sarnia weak moment to get a 2-0 lead. The Sting geared it up a notch and began to force play into the London end but their goalie came up big and close the door. West London got one more goal at the end of the period to make it 3-0.

When everyone thought the game was over the Jr.Sting never gave up. At the eight minute mark of the period, Cameron Orrange got his first of three goals in the period off Ryan Greenaway and Christiano Pagotto passes to make it 3-1. Two minutes later,  Orrange and Greenaway teamed up again to shorten London’s lead to 3-2. With the Jr.Sting pressing hard, West London managed to catch Sarnia in the offensive zone and extend their lead to 4-2 with three minutes remaining in the game. But the Jr.Sting would not play dead and they continued to press the West London team. With 0:38 seconds left in the game Cameron Orrange got his third goal of the game to make it 4-3 and that’s how the game ended.

The Jr.Sting’s next game is against West London at London’s Kinsmen arena on Wednesday November 21^st @ 6:30pm.
