Sting Minor MD-Atoms Lose to League
Leaders
The Sarnia Jr.Sting Minor MD Atoms
played league leading North London in Forest City Hockey league
action and lost 12-0 on Tuesday night.
North London came out hard and
showed why they were league leaders. The Sting had to play
defensively from the get go and held London at bay till the
mid-way point, where the Sting’s wall opened and within a one
minute span, London scored three goals to make the game 3-0. The
Jr Sting continued to play hard with the period ending 3-0.
North London continued to press. At
the eight-minute mark, London again scored three quick goals
within a minute and a half to extend their lead to 6-0. The
Sting continue to put up a defensive stance with Eric Lange and
Lucas Cicchelli making some excellent saves. North London was
able to get one additional goal to end the period at 7-0.
The third period continued similar
to the previous two with North London on the attack and the Jr.
Sting on the defensive. The Jr.Sting put in a good effort
against a powerful North London team with the game ending at
12-0.
The Jr.Sting’s next game is Friday
