Sting Minor MD Atoms Continue to Fight for
a Win

The Sarnia Jr.Sting played visiting
Stratford in Forest City Hockey Minor Atom MD2 league action and
lost 9-0 on Friday night.
Sarnia began the game strong sending
the play into the Stratford end but the Stratford defense
wouldn’t let the Sting have any second shot opportunities.
Stratford started the scoring in the middle of the period to
make it 1-0 by banging in a lose puck. Play was end to end for
the remaining of the period but Stratford was able to extend
their lead to 2-0 before the period ended.
The Sting continued to play hard
versus Stratford but the Stratford defense prevented the Sting
from getting any good scoring chances on their goalie. Stratford
was able to score four goals before the period ended to make the
game 6-0.
The third period showed that the
Sarnia MD Atoms wouldn’t give up with the Sting starting to
break the defense and produce some good scoring opportunities
but the Stratford goalie kept the them off the board. The third
ended 9-0 for Stratford.
The Jr.Sting’s next game is Sunday
November 4th at 2pm where they travel to the Allman arena in
Stratford. |
