Sarnia vs SSE Wild

The Sarnia Jr Sting Minor Bantam
MD team was in London February 13, 2008 to face the SSE
Wild. It was a close, hard fought game that ended in a 2-0
win for Sarnia. The game was scoreless until the third
period when Jamie Vandenberg finally scored the game
winner. Spencer Lindsay added an empty netter with just six
seconds remaining. The only assist that night was from
Michael Hummell. Strong in net for Sarnia was Duncan
Gibson-Lockhart.
The Sarnia Jr Sting travelled
again to London February 19, 2008 going up against the
North London Nationals. That game ended in a 3-3 tie. The
Sting trailed throughout the game but never gave up tying
the game in the third period. Scoring for Sarnia were
Dalton Pickett, Jamie Alves and Spencer Lindsay. Assisting
were Kurtis Buckeridge, Joe Frayne, Chris Pamenter, Clay
Walker (2) and Dalton Pickett. Evan McDougall was netminder
for the Sting.
Sarnia will be in London on
Wednesday, February 27, 2008 to face the West London Hawks.
They will be back on home ice at the Sarnia Arena on March
3, 2008 to host the Stratford Warriors in the final game of
the regular season.
