Silver Medal Winners!

WEST LONDON BMO TOURNAMENT
FEB. 1-3

 The Sarnia Junior Sting Minor Bantam MD competed in the West London BMO Tournament February 1 - 3.  The Sting finished second overall taking home silver. 

In Game 1 Sarnia played Meadowvale in an exciting match that saw them fight their way back from a 3 - 0 deficit ending in a 3-3 tie.  Scoring were Joe Frayne, Clay Walker and Beau Callum with assists coming from Ryan Krasinkiewicz, Chris Pamenter (2) and Jamie Vandenberg.  Strong in net for Sarnia was Evan McDougall. 

In Game 2 Sarnia met up with Vaughan in another hard fought battle by the Sting which ended in a 5 - 3 win for Sarnia.  Jamie Vandenberg scored 4 goals and  Spencer Lindsay picked up the 5th.  Jamie Alves made the assist while Duncan Gibson-Lockhart was solid in net. 

Game 3 against North London ended in a 1-1 tie advancing the Sting to the finals.  In net for Sarnia was Evan McDougall and the lone goal was scored by Clay Walker assisted by Ian Ferguson and Ryan Krasinkiewicz.  It was an exciting match for Game 4 with Sarnia playing George Bell.  Sarnia won this game in overtime with a 2 - 1 final score.  Chris Pamenter started off the scoring and Mike Brown came up with  the overtime winning goal.  Assisting were Kurtis Buckeridge, Michael Hummell and Spencer Lindsay.  Duncan Gibson-Lockhart played a spectacular game in net. 

In the championship Game 5, Sarnia lost to Burlington 3 - 2 in overtime.  In net for Sarnia was Evan McDougall with Jamie Vandenberg scoring the two goals and Ian Ferguson and Shawn Master making the assists.
