The Novice Tier 1
hosted North London Nationals at the
Germain
arena and were
defeated 4-1.
Sarnia
were able
to strike first as Jameson Hart
hammered in a goal assisted by Jacob
Williams. North London
were
quickly able to tie it with a goal
of their own. North London were
able to add one more in the 1st
period and then one in each of the
remaining periods make it a 4-1
final score. Sarnia played hard but
were
unable to solve the North London
goalie who proved to be the
difference.
Novice Tier 1 vs.
Petrolia Oilers
(Exhibition)

The Novice Tier 1
went to Petrolia to take on the
Oilers
for an exhibition game. This was a
close game, with a much improved
Petrolia team coming away with a 3-2
win.
Petrolia opened
the scoring in the first period
early on and it remained that way
for duration of the period. But
Sarnia responded in the second, with
a shorthanded goal by Cameron Rannie
from Brayden Groulx. With about
2:30 minutes remaining in the period
Petrolia
ent
up 2-1 and then a minute later made
it 3-1.
Jacob Williams
made a good rush out of his own end
and scored unassisted to make it
3-2. Both teams had some more
chances to score but neither could
find the back of the net. Petrolia
came away with the win, which you
could tell they wanted badly.
