Tier 1 vs. LMHA Thunder

The
Novice Tier 1 faced the LMHA
Thunder at the
Germain
arena and came up just a
little short falling 4-3.
Sarnia
got on the board first at
6:56 of the 1st,
with a nice back hand shot
by Dante Fuoco, assists
going to Brayden Groulx and
Max Steeves. The Sting
defense
played a good period of
hockey shutting down the
Thunder limiting their shots
on net.
In the
second period LMHA tied the
game up 1-1, but Nic
Discanno responded for
Sarnia, assisted by Brett
Allardyce and Jacob
Williams. In the last
minute of the second period
LMHA were able to tie it
again to make it 2-2 after
2.
Early in
the 3rd period
LMHA scored a shorthanded
goal to go up 3-2 and again
midway through to take the
lead 4-2. Late the game the
Sting made it 4-3 with a
goal from Dante Fuoco,
assisted by Brayden Groulx
and Max Steeves.
Despite
pulling the goalie and
having an extra attacker the
Sting were unable to tie the
game.
