Sarnia Novice Tier 1
vs. SSE Wild
November 21, 2007
The Sting
were in
London on Wednesday night and came away
with a 2-2 draw with SSE Wild.
The first period saw
most of the play in the Wild end, but
the Sting were
unable to generate many good scoring
chances. On the
powerplay, the Wild were able to
capitalize and went up 1-0. The Sting
had a PP of their own but again
were unable
to get any quality chances.
In the second period
the Wild had a few good scoring chances
but were stoned by
Henrik Lindhout. The Sting
finally got on the board from a high
shot that found the net by Ryan Brown,
assisted by Cameron Adam and Jameson
Hart. The Wild bounced back
quick,
however, and went up by 1 again to make
it
2-1.
In the 3rd
period our goalie, Lindhout, would make
a few more key saves that kept the team
in the game. The Sting found themselves
down 2 men, which seems to happen at
least once every game, and
were able to
successfully kill it off. Very late in
the game Jameson Hart was able to make
an unbelievable backhand shot, from what
appeared to be an impossible angle, and
score the tying goal. The final result
was 2-2.
Congratulations boys
on coming away with the tie. Another
game you able to minimize the goals
against…Great work!
