On Monday night,
October 22nd, the Sarnia
Novice Tier 1 played their last of 3
games in consecutives days, this time
against the North London Nationals at
the Carling Arena. The boys were
definitely tired and came up against a
red hot goalie, losing 8-3.
North London started
out of the gates pretty quick and were
able to establish a 1-0 lead. Not long
after were able to capitalize again on
the power play to make it 2-0. Midway,
through the 1st the Nationals
were awarded a penalty shot, however,
Patrick Kelly stood tall between the
pipes and stoned the London shooter!
Before the period ended Sarnia was able
to cut the lead in half by Jameson Hart,
who roofed his shot, assisted by Ryan
Brown.
The second started
with another quick London goal to make
it 3-1. However, Sarnia with some
hardwork down low were able to pop
another in. It was Dylan Schroeter who
was johnny on the spot in front of the
net, assisted by Cameron Rannie and Max
Steeves. The second period ended 3-2.
By the third period
it was evident that the tank had gone
empty. London were able to string
together 5 unanswered goals. Sarnia had
some chances, including a shot off the
crossbar but again were unable to solve
the goalie. In the final minutes of the
game Jameson Hart was able to score his
second goal of the game from Cameron
Adam and Ryan Brown.
That game is behind
us now boys….lets look ahead to the next
match.
