Sarnia Novice MD Tier 2 have cold
night against the Aeros
The Sarnia Jr.
Sting Novice MD Tier 2 team travelled to
the VERY COLD Oakridge Arena Thursday night
to take on the Aeros.
The Aeros have
definitely held the advantage over the Sting
during the season, for in the previous 4
games the Sting have lost 3, tied 1.
Oakridge scored first with a
goal halfway through the first period to
take the 1-0 lead. The Aeros would go up
2-0 with a powerplay goal with
2:40 remaining in the second. The Sting
would reply with one of their own 11 seconds
later. Lucas Knowles had the original shot
on net which hit the post and as the puck
came right back out to Matt Hunt, he
would make no mistake and put it past the
Aeros goalie to make it a 2-1 game. The
Aeros would score again, with 39.1 seconds
left for a 3-1 score.
The Aeros would
continue to take it to our boys and scored 3
more goals in the third period to win the
game 6-1.
Next action for
the team is two home games this weekend,
Sunday, Feb. 17th, 4:00 pm at Germain and
Monday, Feb 18th, 6:00 pm at Sarnia Arena.
Both games are against SSE Wild.
