Novice MD
Tier 2 win against North London
Nationals
January 13, 2008
The Sarnia
Jr. Sting Novice MD Tier 2 team
collected their 2nd league win of the
season Sunday afternoon at Germain
Arena. The black and yellow were
playing host to North London Nationals.
Jakob
Knowles had the start for the home team
and played well making several key saves
for his team to secure the win. London
was able to get on the board early in
the game with a breakaway goal.
The Sting
would work hard and be rewarded for
their efforts. Brett Brydges tied the
game at 1 with 1:29 left in the first
period. Assisting on the play was Nolan
DeGurse. With 6.0 seconds remaining in
the same period, Lucas Knowles would put
his team ahead 2-1. Collecting the
assists were Matt Hunt and Carson Payne.
With each
team exchanging scoring opportunities in
the 2nd and 3rd periods, both Knowles
and the Nationals goalie stood tall and
kept the puck out. Final score 2-1 for
the Sting.

boys, congrats on your win and let's go
for two in a row. Next again for
the team is Wednesday, January 16th,
when they are on the road for a game
against West London Hawks. Game time is
6:00 pm.
