Novice MD Tier 2
team season ends in OT
The Sarnia Jr.
Sting Novice MD Tier 2 team travelled to
Argyle Arena Thursday night to play the
second game of their playoff series against
the London Devilettes. The first game in
the series was exciting and this game would
prove to be the same.
London opened the scoring at 4:16 of the
first. Sarnia would out shoot the Devilettes
in the second 6-3 but were unable to beat
the goalie. Exciting action would continue
in the third and with the game on the line,
Sarnia would pull the goalie for the extra
attacker. With 15 seconds remaining in the
game, Brett Brydges would tie the game at 1
to send his team into OT. Assisting on the
play was Ryan Gould and Matt Hunt.
With the team
and fans erupting with excitement after the
tying goal, we knew that we were in for a
great OT period. Unfortunately the Sting's
season would come to an end when a Devilette
player was first to score 49 seconds
into the extra frame to win the game 2-1.
The boys are to
be congratulated on their fine season.

siblings and friends who supported the team
during the season and for making it an
enjoyable hockey season for these young men.

coaching staff. Your time and efforts were
greatly appreciated.
